ACCOMODATION

Bedroom number one Ardtreck Cottage offers bed and breakfast accommodation in two double and one twin bedroom; the two double bedrooms (rooms 1 & 2) have en-suite facilities and the twin bedroom (room 3) has its own private bathroom, with bath and shower. There is satellite TV&Radio with DVD player, and tea and coffee making facilities, in each room.

Bedroom 1 is situated on the ground floor. It is a large spacious room with an en-suite toilet and shower, and a large walk-in wardrobe. The room has views over Fiskavaig Bay and beyond to South Uist.

Bedroom number two

Bedroom 2, on the first floor, is a smaller room with similar en-suite facilities to bedroom 1 and a small fitted wardrobe, The room also has views over Fiskavaig Bay to South Uist.

Bedroom number three Bedroom 3 at the rear of the Cottage, on the first floor, is a twin bedroom with two, single, divan beds and a large fitted wardrobe. Room 3 has sole use of a large private bathroom (not en-suite), also on the first floor, with a large bath and separate shower.

The rooms are serviced and cleaned every day.

Meals are provided in the guests’ dining room and as this is a home, rather than a hotel, we invite guests to eat at one table.

The dining room

We have found that for most of our guests part of the fun and interest of their stay with us in our traditional B&B is in meeting people from different parts of the world and from different walks of life and having the opportunity to share experiences over breakfast or an evening meal. It is certainly a large part of our enjoyment of welcoming people into our home.

There is ample parking space for guests’ cars and for those on a cycling holiday we can provide secure, dry, shed storage for bikes.

Bedroom mirror

As we are located in a relatively remote area Ardtreck Cottage is probably not a suitable destination if you do not have your own transport. Public transport services to our area of the island are very limited.

Similarly if you need to be in contact with the outside world, via a mobile phone or internet, on a constant and regular basis then staying at Ardtreck Cottage may not be for you. The mobile phone signal can be unreliable and dependant on the service provider you use, and the weather! We are also unable to provide a wifi internet connection.
