BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMODATION ON SKYE, AT ARDTRECK COTTAGE, FISKAVAIG.

The house in sunshine If you are looking for bed and breakfast accommodation on Skye for a few days, a weekend, or longer, John and Irene Curren are waiting to welcome you into their home at Ardtreck Cottage and introduce you to the best of Skye.

Ardtreck Cottage, built in 2006, is a four bedroom house from Skye Homes, an island company sadly no longer with us, who supplied timber frame kits based on traditional Highland house designs. While traditional in appearance Ardtreck Cottage provides guests with the comforts of modern living in a spectacular landscape setting.

Ardtreck Cottage B&B will provide you with comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation as a base for exploring the island of Skye; for a short, but spectacular, stop on a tour of the Western Highlands; or simply a welcoming home where you can enjoy the peace, and quiet solitude, of north west Skye to a backdrop of one of the best views on the island.

If you are having problems deciding what to see and how to organise your trip have a look at the Secret Scotland web site for detailed itineraries and accommodation guides for planning your holiday in Scotland.

Ardtreck Cottage has been graded as a 4-star B&B by Visit Scotland (the Scottish Tourist Board) every year since we first opened in 2007.

Cottage exterior

The Cottage offers bed and breakfast accommodation, with the option of evening meals, from 1st March to 31st October. For 2014 we have two double, en-suite, bedrooms, available, both with sea views over Fiskavaig Bay.

The Cottage is situated on the edge of Fiskavaig Bay in North West Skye with panoramic views west, over Loch Bracadale, to South Uist and Benbecula in the Western Isles; with the islands of Wiay and Oronsay, and MacLeod’s Tables, in the middle ground, and a glimpse of McLeod’s Maidens, like some graceful old sailing ship sliding into view round Idrigill Point.

Red sunset over Loch Bracadale

We especially welcome guests who want to experience the beauty of the Skye hills and coastline at first hand and we are very much a walker and cyclist friendly bed and breakfast.
